Sitting at dialysis on a conference call for my new business. Fun! I am learning a lot about products and how business works. It is so interesting, I have had fun just dreaming about everything I can do from here. I just need to stay focused and try to build my job into a lucrative career. I got my first order and so far the products are living up to their claims. I love the smell of the laundry detergent and the dish soap. I am not quite used to the sanitizer. I like the way it seems to work and I love that it is all natural and safe for the critters (that includes the children) but it smells like spices. It uses thyme as its major germ killer and it smells as such!
I suppose I will get used to it. The toothpaste is great! Taylor used to Koala Pals berrilicious kids' paste and loved it! She is now determined to take better care of her teeth! I have enjoyed the cinnamon polish too, it is different, but I like it!
I also bought present for my Mom, since she is my loyal reader (when she remembers) I will have to share how cool it is after the holidays!

Flu-cation
Welcome to Flu-cation 2009. The local school has cancelled school for all grades on Thursday and Friday. Add this to the Wednesday holiday and the fact that my kids were home sick on Monday and Tuesday and... They have had a whole week at home with me! I love my kids, but sending my daughter to school each day, at least one of them, saves them both from being sent to boarding school in southern France. I have put the boarding school pamphlets away, for now. My kids are feeling better and I am hoping to last the weekend. Why is it people hate Mondays? I think Mondays are beautiful thing!

Flu 3
Ug, OK so Ashleigh is well and Taylor stayed home from school for a sore throat and cough. Here we go!
Ashleigh and I worked on a new schedule for her schooling. We sorked out each day's plan and incorporated all of her subjects over the course of a week, including cooking with Grandpa. We also planned out a menu for lunches in November and December. I just have to make sure we have the grocieries to stick to the plan.
Taylor was not sick enough today, she stayed home from school, but was running around obnoxious all day. She is SO going to school tomorrow!

Nano
NaNoWriMo is in full swing. I attended an all day write-in today. It was nice. I got a lot written during the word wars that we held. I wrote over 4,000 words today, doubling my word total thus far.
Ashleigh is still sick, but better everyday. I think she is still just feeling run down because of the hacking cough she has. It looks like it hurts when she coughs, and that takes a lot out of her. She might be milking it a bit as well. Her home schooling has been put on hold for now, while she is sick. But as of Monday it is back on!

Flu 2
Ashleigh seems better today. She is over the fever and has better color. She still has the hacking cough and sore throat, but now she is a much bigger pain in the butt about being sick, so I know she is better! I am hoping to avoid the flu myself. I think dialysis helps, so far so good!
Ashleigh is still tired and cranky, but much better. Taylor still shows no signs of sickness. Maybe we will escape relatively unharmed by this pandemic.
NaNoWriMo is going well. I went to a write-in today and had a lot of fun. We sit at Barnes and Noble and write our novels near each other. Sounds boring, but it is a great opportunity to inspire each other to write more and a great time to chat about the writing process. I am liking the process of writing a novel in a month.

Flu
Ashleigh is down with the FLU! We know she is ill because she is very quietly resting on the couch and watching TV. It is different than usual because if you step in front of her or change the channel, she hardly grunts. Her fever is 102.6 and she has a redish hue. She is coughing a hacking cough and has a sore throat, poor kid. We are giving her Thermflu and it seems to comfort her a little. I have called the Dr. office and they say that she is not a high risk, so just let her be sick basically.
I guess they aren't testing anyone for H1N1 unless they are a high risk group with lots of health conditions. Otherwise it is just the bed rest and liquids speech.
