OK, I really do want to keep a blog, I just seem to have difficulty actually remembering to post something on a semi regular basis. It seems to me like it has only been a few short months since last I blogged on this particular blog. Apparently, according to the blog archives, I missed 2010 entirely! Oh well... so much for daily blogging... I have decided to try again... so here goes... not that anyone reads my blog.
Today I went to the State House to listen to the Winthrop and Maranacook chorus sing. They started in the dome thingy (told this is a technical term) and then they sang the National Anthem in the gallery of the House of Representatives. They sounded beautiful. It has been a long time since I have been in the gallery, I need to go back - it is interesting to watch our government at work... for a little while anyway... YAWN.
Linda and I then hit the cafeteria for lunch and we agree, for the best salad bar in Augusta/Winthrop area... go to the Cross Building cafeteria. It was fresh and yummy with lots of good choices and a reasonable 30 cents/oz. We also had time to visit a Wild Life display and got free posters, info and calendars. Nice bonus. There was the cutest little owl perched on a man in interesting owl garb. The poor little thing looked stressed, but was still adorable.
I need to think of some cutesy saying to end my blogs with .......... hmmm... nope..... nothing....
